Resources

Reference material worth knowing about if you build Eurorack modules. These sit alongside the builds directory: places to find designs it does not cover, archives of circuits older than any repo, and a simulator for working out what a circuit does.

Finding designs

Directories that point at far more open designs than any one site can list.

Circuits and schematics

Where to read the actual circuits, including designs that predate GitHub.

  • electro-music schematics vault

A deep archive of synth schematics collected over decades, covering classic and obscure circuits you will not find in a repo.

  • Mutable Instruments source

The hardware and firmware behind every Mutable module. Widely cloned and adapted, so it is the upstream for a lot of what people build. Code is MIT, hardware CC BY-SA 3.0.

Tools

For understanding a circuit before you order parts for it.

  • Falstad circuit simulator

Runs in the browser and animates current as it flows. Good for building intuition about a filter or oscillator stage before committing to a build.
